This fully refurbished and extended cottage is the perfect ‘get away’ or corporate stay with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Built in the 1870’s, Irishtown Cottage as the name suggests, is located in the heart of what was known as Irishtown in Bendigo during the gold rush era. Originally chosen for its proximity to the life sustaining Bendigo creek and flatlands, the area is now one of the most picturesque of Bendigo city.
Built in the 1870’s this cute cottage has a big heart. Sympathetically renovated in keeping with the era, it is stylishly furnished to ensure your complete comfort and perfectly located for you to explore Bendigo’s sites and beyond.
The great layout includes a generous kitchen, dining and living area with a large kitchen table perfect for entertaining whilst the second living room houses the wood fire for cosy relaxation. In addition to the four bedrooms and two living areas, there is also a table tennis table in the garage to keep the children (and adults) entertained and a great all weather BBQ area and large outdoor setting for the warmer months.
Right on the Bendigo walking and biking trail, you will enjoy the local proximity to pubs, cafes, Lake Weeroona, the tennis complex, bike trails and of course the CBD. There is also plenty of history within the Irishtown area including the largest, oldest wooden church in the southern hemisphere, the tram museum including the oldest operating tram depot, the woollen mills, the historic Chinese precinct and much more.

We loved this cottage and it suited us perfectly. We had 9 people to sleep and this cottage handled us easily. It is also so close to town and in a lovely area. Cath communicates well and has everything ready when you get there, the local ground coffee beans and the port are just a couple of extra nice touches. We would definitely recommend Irishtown.
This is a gorgeous old cottage with everything you need! We were comfy and cozy all week. We did a massive roast meal one night and found the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to comfortably serve 7 people! We built a big fire and played cards one night too, very lovely! The port and chocolates on arrival was a very nice touch… and some fresh flowers too, thank you Cath
Great location in Bendigo with a short work to the beautiful gardens and local cafes/pubs. The house is so big with lots of outdoor space as well. The fireplace was amazing. The kitchen is well supplied and nice and big. The lovely claw foot bath was well utilised. There is good heating in the bedrooms. We had our dog with us and it was a very secure property. Nice comfy beds and pillows. Great notice board with local fliers to help plan activities.
